4. Plan to earn the 'Approved Leaders' Plaque' by
having at least 70% of your leadership attending? 5. What if someone cannot pay? We don't want anyone to stay away because of this, so: [1] See if the church can pay or someone else assist [2] Have them pay what they can [3] If this does not resolve the problem, contact us and we will pay their way! 6. Remember, there are NO REFUNDS, but registrations can be transferred! 7. Who should pay, the church or the leader? We believe the leader should pay at least some of the registration fee. They are more likely to be committed to attend and to enjoy what they are learning, if they have invested personally. 8. Tell your leaders to arrive early enough for coffee and refreshments. 9. No Meal – We will provide a snack and have you on the road by 1:00. You can have lunch on your way home and enjoy your leadership fellowship. HOW DO YOU GET PEOPLE TO COME? 1. Encourage your pastor to attend. He will be the greatest encouragement! 2. Publicize it frequently - from the pulpit, in club each week and personally. 3. Contact every one personally - ask them very specifically if they will be going. 4. Work for 100% attendance - explain that it is the best way to begin the club year. 5. Don't give leaders a choice - expect them to go. 6. Tell leaders, when you recruit them, that the conference is part of the privilege. 7. Have them come to be examples to others, just as you plan to do! WHEN YOU GET THERE: Pick up your conference materials immediately upon arrival. Only one person should register for the entire group (preferably the Commander). Be certain of the number of leaders attending. The Commander should arrive first and pick up all packets for the group. |
